I hand build my stretchers and face them with luan. Each painting is hand stretched with a gallery wrap with edges finished with black so no need to frame. I prepare the surface with a fresco secco. This gives the painting an "otherness" or the feeling of artifact. I render in acrylic then glaze with oil paints. This creates luminous color with mercurial nuances. This painting is inspired by patterns from India and the beautiful Allium flower. Simple, natural and vibrant. My works are represented by galleries across the US and in collections worldwide.
