About The Artwork
Almenicia is born of a fascination with Velázquez masterpiece at Museo del Prado in Spain and the art of Mary Blair in Alice in Wonderland. This mashup painting served as inspiration to this poem to be included in a book featuring the works of the artist with and the poems it inspired. "Alemenicia" Se da vuelta la infanta y mira mas allá del espejo Se lanza al reto del tiempo y anticipada al conejo No duda descifrar la clave, carga consigo una llave gira cien cerrojos, Almenicia dirige sus ojos a reflejo de arrojo Y se conecta via túnel de un antojo Sin titubear atrae Cascada de Corazones, con fuerza los naipes vertidos desde esplanada en encuadre vestido su promesa libera del castigo, vino a mostrar camino segura del destino acaricia las ganas llena su taza y cuelga un té, baja la fiebre y pierde la liebre su Carrera.
