Abstract artist Angela Schulten loves to experiment with structure and playful marks. Growing up in east Germany behind the wall, where colours and materials were rare she had to be creative with what she had. Many years later materials like paper, canvas, pastels and acrylic colors are now her favourite. Painting intuitive layer by layer, removing, rubbing or washing out and applying new colors. „Every painting has it’s own process, I like it to see something new in my painting, whenever I look at it.“ Lately she has been working on collages, combining paper work new with intuitive marks.
