"An Artist's Table" Painting by Micheal Jones

"An Artist's Table" is an original 24 x 24" acrylic painting by Micheal W. Jones. This painting was created using the finest pigments on 2' thick gallery wrapped museum stretched canvas, and shows a simple still life composed of the various and sundry objects which might be found on an artist's table at any given time.
The mandolin, a gift from my daughter is loved more for it's shape than for it's music, while coffee, potted plants and gourds vie for attention with the ever-present pot of paint brushes.
The muted color scheme reminds me of painting in the early evening, and is also a nod to Milton Avery, one of my favorite artists.
