ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I combine spontaneous but geometric brushstrokes with saturated and refined colors. The directness of my brushstroke captures the energy of a moment in time and space. The bright colors can be playful and the form feel organic. I use the white of the background as an equal element to the paint to suggest infinite possibility behind the surface. My Aperture paintings can be displayed in rows or grids to tell a color story or can be displayed individually. The gestural single mark brings an organic quality to a room.
