ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With The Apertures series—my largest body of work—I combine spontaneous but geometric brushstrokes with saturated and refined colors. My entire body, arm, hand and brush flow in a continuous motion to produce a direct, bold and solid mark. My creative process is about exploring color, shape and texture for its distinct resonance to an emotion. My intention is to suggest intimate but forward movement, a limitless movement in time and space. I seek to express tension in harmony, movement in stillness. I am looking for what is unrevealed.
