ABOUT THE ARTWORK

'Are You Serious?' ...how many times have you said or thought this while lunching with the ladies? These lovely women from the 'Women with Attitude' collection are having a great time together. Do you know these ladies? Can you see yourself in this picture? This original work was painted from observing the interactions between these friends from across the room. Although I could not hear their words, their body language was telling the story. The red background in this painting just glows! So rich and welcoming. Apart from the strength and vibrance of the subjects, the colours make this painting a feature piece that will stand out in any room. Lunch looks delicious and the swirls in the texture of the dress on the lady front and centre, have been painstakingly created one by one and then lightly draped in the colour of gold. This piece has been lovingly painted with acrylics for flexibility and vibrancy as well as varnished for protection with a clear oil resin. I am committed to providing a great experience for you. Hopefully refreshing many memories, creating smiles and laughs for you, your family and friends. Know that only the best archival artist-quality paints, canvas and materials are used to create my original artworks. I take great pride in what I do, so you can be confident that your art will be a treasure that can be passed on to future generations. Unless requested otherwise, for international shipping I suggest this work be rolled and securely tubed. Don't hesitate to contact me on if you have any further questions or require any other information or assistance. Commissioned works are often requested and always welcome.

I love what I do! Creating art for me is about capturing both 'Moments in Time' and the beauty and emotion that surrounds those special moments. Each of us have people we love and life experiences that create those moments that mould us and shape us into who we are. * When I paint, regardless of the style I may choose to best portray that moment or emotion, my whole emphasis is on creating a work that reflects you, and sometimes even me. There are two quotes from famous artists that have impacted me greatly. One was in 1917, from a well-known American realist painter named George Bellows, who said: "It seems to me, that an Artist must become a spectator of life". Secondly, another by Vincent Van Gogh who said " ... a good picture is equivalent to a good deed". When I heard those statements, they both resonated so much with me. I find myself constantly watching and observing everything like 'a spectator' on the side-line as it happens before me. These quotes really helped to explain a few things to me. I am not so strange after all! My inspiration comes as I take in the motion and emotion of the atmosphere of the world around me. They say "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Reproducing the beautiful images and scenes, shapes, colours, textures, angles and curves that present themselves before my eyes is my way of saying 'Thank you'. There is so much to see and so much to appreciate in life! Richard A. Furlong, Art Auctioneer and Art Specialist from the UK: who wrote the forward for the Limited Edition published book ‘Natalie Dyer a Brush with Life’ had this to say: my work… Colourful, witty, warm and sensual.... these are just a few of the expressions used to describe the outstandingly varied works of one of Australia's leading female artists, Natalie Dyer. Natalie's works are in the homes, private collections and galleries of admirers all over the globe. Her great sense of humour and charm are placed in every single work of art, combined with decades of training and development of her beloved art form. Her work has found its way into many international collections. Appreciated for her talent and portrayal of women today, Natalie was invited as guest of honour for the opening of Jimmy Choo's latest ''Couture Collection'' unveiled in Kuala Lumpur at the International Shoe Festival. She has now painted a work especially for this revered designer.
