Arlequín y sol de Enrique Pichardo is a character whose clothing has patterns characteristic of an arlequin, his deep and melancholy gaze is lost in a background illuminated by a sun in very peculiar colors: green, orange and yellow. The colors of the detail of the sound make it stand out in a gray background and with the duality of colors used in the character. Work done in acrylic on canvas 80 x 120 cm. His lines evoke great artists such as Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock, José Manuel Merello, Juan Gris and Albert Gleizes. Being the style of the unique master, with a mixture of everything that he defines as Naif. Enrique Pichardo, a contemporary Mexican artist of expressionism, pays homage to some artists by using his educated brush to create ideological connections with Klee, Picasso, Miró, Dubuffet, Baziotes, Basquiat, Chagall, Modigliani, Calder, Lam, Tamayo, Kandinsky and Karel Appel. All this combined with the perspective of innocent childhood he never forgets the child he once was and pays tribute to him by painting as though he still is. He has exhibited his work in galleries internationally and is cataloged in other galleries in countries such as Spain, Singapore and Austria.

The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
