This is one of a number of small studies made as a starting point to a larger body of work dealing with memory, nostalgia and looking back. There has always been an interest in the past on an individual level as well as historically, politically-it seems there is a current fetishisation regarding both ideas of a better past and actual , physical objects-including old photographs-ie. other peoples memories and lives. All this in a world of increasing uncertainty in the present, never mind the future, a general mistrust of political systems and media providers and we have the need for something tangible in the world in a state of flux....
