Walking on an uncle's ranch i discovered this cow skull that hangs at an entrance. It was perfect for a Día de los Muertos show (Day of the Dead.) I emphasized the Pointillist qualities to give a sugar skull quality to the painting. The title "Ascension" relates to the idea of the dead rising to heaven. Perfect for your modern farmhouse, cabin, or gothic western retreat. Acrylic on canvass 20 x 24 Sold unframed Modern Western Paintings by Eric Myles Jones, Denver, CO
