ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Ishtar is the goddess of sex, love, beauty and sacrifice. Her drawing came when I was searching and contemplating the feminine energy within me. She emerged from the midst of the colors to reveal herself. Although Ishtar is the Babylonian goddess of love, I saw in the spirit of her eyes the sacred Isis. This painting is filled with both feminine and masculine energy. I hope that the viewer feels the strength and heat of the colors and conjures the strength and beauty of this female within him so that he is filled with love and warmth.
