About The Artwork
I grew up in the time of the Space Race. I saw the Mercury and Apollo missions, the spacewalks, the moon landing and every part of American life was infused with thoughts talk and imagination about Space travel from real life to science fiction movies, books and television. It was a great time to be alive and dream. My idea to paint a Space walk and also an astronaut on the moon was the first truly original subject I invented as a painter - the thrill of it has never left me and I continue to paint aspects of the stars and our relationship to them.
