I try to evoke the power and emotion of subjects by abstracting the natural world,maintaining freshness, freedom and spontaneity, but without losing the clarity of my formal intention . my work is an invitation to my very private collection of characters,my library of mythical imagery, a journey to a particular utopia, Maria Eugenia Longo Cabello Campos is a brazilian visual artist, Illustrator and animator, living in São Paulo . She has illustrated many books for the finest publishing houses and participated in many illustrations exhibitions such as the Society of illustrators NY annual show, American Illustration show, Bologna’s Illustrators Exhibition, the Itabashi Art Museum Exhibition in Tokyo, the Bratislava Biennial of Illustrations and others. Maria Eugenia's has also been awarded with residencies at Ucross Foundation[USA], La Napoule Art Foundation [ France ] and the UNESCO-Ibby workshop in Bratislava [Slovakia ].She was a collaborator for Folha de Sao Paulo Newspaper and Brazilian and international magazines, and recently she began working with experimental animation.
