About The Artwork
Green sea turtles are one of my favourite subjects to paint. My love with turtles started during a visit to Mon Repos where we could watch the turtles making their way from the beach to their nesting areas and lay their eggs. Six of the world’s seven species of marine are breeding in Queensland. But these cute creatures can be found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide. They migrate long distances to feed, often crossing entire oceans, before returning home again to nest. This original painting started with a fluid acrylic pour with the colours of the ocean on 12' x 17' acrylic paper. It is framed with a 17' x 21' modern white frame and protected with a white mat behind clear perspex. The medium painting size offers endless possibilities to create unique gallery displays in your home and will brighten up your home or office for many years to come. Please note that artwork displayed in rooms are for the purpose of demonstration only and not always to the exact scale. Please check dimensions for actual size. I am a visual artist based in Brisbane, Australia with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Arts in Berlin and a Diploma of Visual Art from Bremer TAFE at Bundamba. I am constantly improving my skills to be an accomplished artist by visiting different workshops offered by the Logan Art Gallery. As a member of Art West Community Gallery, I am able to exhibit my works through their physical Gallery. I am also supported by online Galleries like Bluethumb and Art Lovers. and am the proud owner of the www.martablaszak.com, a website where you can find a huge collection of art in different styles, themes, colours, medium, size and price. My earlier works mainly focused on still life and realism, but my latest pieces incorporate abstract fluid acrylics with traditional painting methods. Despite both styles depicting the natural world, they convey two vastly different interpretations. My earlier work is meticulous and controlled, while my current pieces celebrate the untamed and unexpected beauty of nature. In addition to my artistic endeavours, I am also exploring Acrylic Pouring and Alcohol Ink as these methods lend themself well to smaller art pieces, making them more affordable and often collectible.
