There are not only 3 Rheintöchter (Rhine maidens). There are a dozen. One of 12 pieces that shows fabulous and unreal underwater beeings half human half animal. The series has been inspired by Richard Wagners Rheingold and the 3 Rhine maidens. I just have added 9 more sisters and created similar names that has been created from old German names and characteristics of rivers. The artwork is signed, dated and named with its RWV catalogue number on the reverse.
