Samantha Nicole Russell (b.1991) is from Birmingham, UK. She graduated from The Manchester School of Art in the Summer of 2014 with an ongoing practice in painting. Specialising predominately in oils her paintings reflect a particular interest in the environments she surrounds herself with and has recently focused on the domestic and architectural in question with the natural landscape. Following the experience of loss, the tangible spaces left around her became an anchor to inspire her practice as she explores them through her chosen medium. Samantha uses vivid colour to exaggerate and interpret space and attempts to reflect the constant flow of time that alters spaces, people and nature.
