As an artist, I am fascinated by the aesthetic of imperfect bodies and flesh.I like to explore how a body works and what it consists of by the visual language of painting. However, I am not so concerned about the flesh itself, but related issues like immortality and cloning of human organs, death and the vulnerability of the flesh, sexual and gender relationships, as well as the relationship between body and mind. For example, My last series “Forbidden garden” is an artist discourse on immortality, future of medicine and vulnerability of human flesh. In this series of artworks, a human body is the allegory of Eden Garden where humans lost their immortality. I associate bodies and inner organs with closed garden with beautiful fruits and flowers inside we aren`t allowed entry into and see. Also, I compare the Eden Garden with the experimental laboratories where scientists make attempts to grow up human organs. So we have a possibility to gain the immortality we lost in the heavenly garden. Both Eden and laboratory are forbidden territories, both are connected with the topic of immortality. It is a kind of a circle I am curious about and like to reflect on.

I am a London-based visual artist who is deeply inspired by the Baroque epoch and its parallels with the contemporary moment. As a child born during the Chernobyl Disaster, I have always been fascinated by the quest for immortality through science and art, and the vulnerability and strength of the body. My background in Baroque painting and theatre design has heavily influenced my contemporary art practices, allowing me to create bold and punkish works that are not afraid to tackle contemporary issues. My aim is to make painting popular again, just like it was in the Baroque times, creating works that leave a lasting impression and provide catharsis. Drawing inspiration from fashion icons like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, I seek to push the boundaries of painting and make it a relevant and contemporary art form. I am an active participant in the London art scene, with my most recent exhibition being a solo show at Hampstead Art School in April 2023. I am constantly seeking to challenge myself and push the boundaries of what is possible with painting, and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come. Creating art is my way of merging nature and science, weaving the realms of botanical beauty and anatomical precision into complex, layered still lifes. My work draws inspiration from the Baroque’s grandeur, enriched with a modern alchemical approach that highlights the transformative potential of nature and the body. This is why my pieces often feature detailed, vibrant compositions of flowers and human anatomy—transcending simple representations to depict divine, timeless energy. I see each work as an invitation for viewers to explore deeper connections between life, growth, and vitality, set against the intensity of Baroque’s dramatic tones. Selling on Saatchiart aligns with my desire to reach a broader audience that appreciates the fusion of traditional techniques and contemporary themes. Here, I aim to connect with collectors who seek not just art, but also the layered narrative and craftsmanship that comes with it. My art is deeply personal, yet designed to resonate universally, making SaatchiArt an ideal platform to share pieces that bring symbolic, baroque-inspired beauty into people’s lives.
