Bear on Mulfra hill Painting

Having found an image online of a bear suffering incarceration in a badly run zoo. I wanted to let her free on an area near where I live in Cornwall called Mulfra hill. The grasses up on the moor like top of the hill are white in the Spring and Summer. I always feel such a sense of freedom whilst walking up there. This painting unites the two beings, the bear and the hill, I do assume hills do exist as a being. The painting is framed without glass in a deep box frame. I use the word humanimal to encompass my practice, in which I try to do as little damage to the environment by using previously used materials and objects. This deep box frame is entirely re used as is the wood on which the bear is painted. In fact oil paint is the only new materials I use, and I am working on a 'used' supply of that too.
