ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Koi Fish in Japan are associated with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose, and symbolic of courage in Buddhism. I was inspired by this during the time of COVID 2020 to communicate through this artwork the beauty that can come from times of adversity, through having courage to continue and face adversity head on.
