Beauty Unveiled Painting

This painting expresses appreciation of female anatomy. It depicts the beauty of an "African woman unveiled", exposing the bone/skeletal internal structure that contributes to her appealing external body structure. It is hoped that the viewers might appreciate the beauty of an african woman and women at large and also appreciate the internal and external structures that define the female anatomy. The oil medium was chosen because of its longevity and smoothness properties, including it's long drying characteristic that made alterations and some corrections fairly simply during the painting process. The painting style used was mainly expressionism, which sought to depict not necessary objective reality but rather the subjective emotions and responses this painting expresses.
