My work is rooted in the quiet beauty of everyday life and nature - a color that catches my eye, an unexpected line, or a fleeting form. I paint intuitively, often without fixed plans, allowing each piece to develop organically through layers of thought, emotion, and spontaneous decisions. I alternate between figurative and abstract painting - not because I lack direction, but because I value the freedom this duality gives me. Abstraction allows me to explore pure form, color, and composition as expressions of mood and feeling. Figurative work, on the other hand, challenges me technically and keeps me engaged with complex shapes, spaces, and narratives. Both approaches feed into one another and reflect different facets of how I see and interpret the world. I mostly work with acrylics, sometimes incorporating mixed media. My color palette leans towards natural tones - soft browns, muted greens, and gentle greys. These are colors that don't shout, but instead invite the viewer on a quiet, subtle journey. I'm drawn to subtlety - to images that reveal themselves slowly, that ask for attention rather than demand it. For me, painting is both a means of expression and a process of discovery. The shift between abstraction and figuration isn't a contradiction - it's a reflection of my curiosity and the ever-changing way I engage with the canvas. In that sense, every painting becomes a moment captured - a visual trace of a thought, a sensation, or simply the joy of creating. Parallel to my painting practice I also explore the world through photophraphy often capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. By zooming in intensly on textures, surfaces or small details. I aim to abstract what is familiar and reveal something quietly unfamiliar. A crack in concrete, a weathered wall or the grain of a found object can become a study in rythm, tone and structure. Through this lens-based work I extend my fascination with subtlety and surface.
