'Billabong Flow' is an original 20 x 30 inch (51 x 76cm) abstract painting that was inspired by a journey through Central Australia where the colors are magnificent and the wind swirls over the constantly changing landscape. Imagine this as an oblique view of a desert billabong (waterhole) where there is a constant tussle between the elements. The black lines represent man's unsuccessful efforts to control the environment. When making my art, I search for elements, structure and places that intuitively fit into 'my reality'. This is why I frequently create imagery that's full of rhythms, colors, lines and most importantly, motion. This series of paintings creates a gentle feeling of freedom and enlightenment. Viewers often say that they love my paintings because of the richness and depth of the colors plus the texture of the materials I use. I love it when people feel a sense of fascination and satisfaction when my paintings adorn their walls for many years to come. Every painting is varnished with professional quality artists varnish which gives a protective surface and exquisite sheen that strengthens the colour depth. This painting is stretched on deep edged 3.5mm traditional kiln dried wooden stretcher bars that sit perfectly on your wall. SPECIAL FEATURES * Original, hand painted in acrylics * white edges for a contemporary look ******************************************* Some feedback from my art sold online: 'I was going to purchase just one, but I couldn’t bear the thought of separating them. They compliment each other and create movement and narrative that wouldn’t be complete without the other.' 'Love your work, excited to see more.' 'Bruce how on earth do you paint these? This work is another dimension.' 'It's modern, inspiring and really pleasing to the eye.' 'Your talent increases with every artwork you produce. I just love it!' 'Bruce is amazing to deal with - he was so helpful and excellent in his communication.' 'This canvas is amazingly beautiful and looks perfect in our rumpus. I do not have the words to say how much I love it. Thank you Bruce so much.' ‘The clever use of colour intensity merged with subtle hues is seductively mesmerising.’ ‘I like the way the light and colours reflect and float with recurrent bursts of energy.’

Bruce is a multi-media artist based in Brisbane, Australia, with paintings, photography and mixed-media works represented in corporate and private collections globally. Trained in fine art practices and techniques, honed over four decades in advertising photography, Bruce travels, photographs and paints full time. Exploring the finer aspects of composition, balance, harmony and design he loves breaking the rules, often turning mistakes into ideas and subsequent artworks. His work is energetic and dynamic, reflecting the colors of his native New Zealand and the vibrancy and experiences of the Australian Landscape where he lives, travels and loves. He incorporates layers of acrylic, oils, inks and glazes, applied with brushes, sponges and textured media to create depth. Rhythm and motion are the driving forces of Bruce’s art, utilizing a simplistic exchange between realistic representation and the abstract form. His signature collections include Sun Glitter, Ocean Spirit, Primordial Landscapes, Seascapes and the Lightscapes series.
