Although "Binario Morto"is mirroring back an urban abandoned landscape; it's also an indication to personal solitude and alienation in today's urban context. It's a representation of a "dead-end track", indicating the abandoned and un-used urban spaces of today's life.

WEBSITE BIOGRAPHY Salvatore Esposito is a Neapolitan artist based in London, UK. His field of study was photography and graphic design. He experienced various methods of print and analogue photography over the course of time but in specific, he is interested in architectural photography; what intersects with his practice as an “urbanscape” abstract artist. He is working as a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer in London, making films on social, tangible subjects that can again mirror back the spirit of the social urban environment around. Salvatore has been featured in various international publications, including Al-Tiba, and has participated in numerous collective exhibitions worldwide. STATEMENT Salvatore Esposito’s artistic practice forms around what he terms "abstract urbanscapes." Drawing inspiration from the urban environment, he uses found materials collected from city streets to connect his art directly to its source. Born and raised in southern Italy, he grew up surrounded by discarded and recycled materials, which notably influenced his artistic perspective. Therefore, his work frequently incorporates upcycled materials, reflecting his connection to urban environments. Instead of portraying human figures, Salvatore's abstract pieces focus on the traces of human presence, capturing the marks left on environment by human activity. From burned plastic garbage bags to background in cement and asphalt, he uses matter painting to form a mental landscape. A non-existent city maybe, very close to the view of a dystopian landscape. He attempts to look outside the box. In some cases, he sewed the frame to the object that was to be framed. In some cases, the abstract portrait of an outcast character is painted on the backside of the canvas. While his approach has changed over time, Salvatore remains committed to re-narrating the subtle traces left behind by everyday life, encouraging viewers to reflect on the interplay between people and their surroundings.
