This mesmerizing artwork is an audacious and dynamic example of contemporary abstract expressionism. The canvas is a riot of color and energy, dominated by a vivid blue background that acts as the perfect foil for the bolder hues splashed across its surface. The composition is a tangled web of frantic brushstrokes and splatters, primarily in shades of deep purple, stark white, intense black, and occasional accents of red. The crossing and overlapping lines suggest a sense of movement and conflict, perhaps alluding to the chaos and unpredictability of life itself. Bold strokes of purple crisscross horizontally and vertically, creating a lattice-like structure that anchors the dynamic splashes of color. White splashes punctuate the canvas with sharp contrast, resembling bursts of energy or flashes of lightning, injecting a sense of urgency and spontaneity into the piece. Subtle transitions and overlaps between colors create a sense of depth, inviting the viewer to explore the intricate layers and textures created by the artist’s vigorous application of paint. Each stroke seems deliberate yet free, embodying a raw, unfiltered emotional expression that captures the essence of abstract art. The overall effect is both chaotic and harmonious, as the seemingly random placement of colors and forms coalesces into a composition that is strikingly beautiful and thought-provoking. This artwork commands attention and elicits a visceral response, compelling viewers to immerse themselves in its vibrant complexity and ponder the underlying themes of movement, emotion, and the human experience.

I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. These are the reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with an idea or a technique until I am satisfied with the result. The inspiration for my work is in trying the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style or technique of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist. I love the many different processes of making art and experimenting with new ways of creating art. My inspiration stems from color, music, literature, and the excitement about the unknown possibilities of taking everyday objects and using them in a way that differs from what the manufacturer intended. I use a combination of found objects, acrylic paints, and aerosol paints to create abstract patterns on wood and canvas. Some of my methods include combining different chemicals and paint on paper or in plastic or wood box frames and using centrifugal force and gravity to distort vivid colors that are mixed or thrown right on the canvas. The result is the distortion of lines and contours, and layers of translucent or opaque paints on the canvas or in random patterns.
