This work of art represents a view of my homeland. A lonely Black Forest house is located at the foot of the Black Forest, embedded in meadows in the foothills. How I work:
Central procedures are “subtractive work processes”. The results are not only created by the actual painting, i.e. the application, but also by the removal of layers of paint.
These processes can be repeated as often as desired.
In some cases, the layers of paint are lined with filler material, which lends the works additional, relief-like third dimensions (bas-reliefs) and thus creates special forms of expression.
Non-representational, abstract content can stand on its own, or is suddenly and surprisingly “translated” into figurative, representational content.

From my personal, artistic research, I thus create pictures that are more to be understood as laying traces for the viewer. This gives my work a certain appeal and often creates the impression of a massive presence. Themes are often taken from nature (trees, landscapes, mountains, horizons, leaves, flowers...). However, the content of the works also focuses on the “complexity”, in the truest sense of the word, the visualized realization of temporal change.
