We want to present "Black Plague" that Clara painted last year during her production for "The Medici's Collection (Clara's tribute to the traditional Medici Family from Florence)." It is the representation of the Black Plague that happened between 1347 - 1350, and it was a pandemic that devastated the populations of Europe and Asia. The plague was an unprecedented human tragedy in Italy. It not only shook Italian society but transformed it. The Black Death marked an end of an era in Italy, its impact was profound, and it resulted in wide-ranging social, economic, cultural, and religious changes. These changes, directly and indirectly, led to the emergence of the Renaissance, one of the most significant epochs for art, architecture, and literature in human history.

Hi, I'm 15 and I'm a stroke survivor. I can't speak, write or read but I can understand Italian, English and Portuguese. At the moment, Frida Kahlo is one of my idols and I love ice cream. Painting is my way of sharing my inner world. I don't think I'm different: I simply use colors instead of words. My life has changed a lot since I have been painting and now it is important for me to use my art to say that life can be rich, wonderful and inspiring whether you are normal or different. Why, by the way: no one is different! Clara Woods was born on March 10, 2006 in Florence. Doctors discover she has had a prenatal stroke and condemn her to a life as a vegetable. After starting a rehabilitation program, Clara surprises everyone with her progress, but she has difficulty with the release of information and cannot speak, read or write even if he understands three languages. Clara began studying painting at the PaidArt Association: Clara found in painting a way of communicating with others but mainly with herself. In March 2018, at the age of 12, Clara presents her first solo show in Florence which receives a great success from critics and the public and never stops. Clara has exhibited her paintings in major Italian cities, adding to her curriculum more than 20 solo exhibitions, and has also presented her paintings in Japan, United States, Italy and UK. Through her art and her life Clara wants to promote inclusion and break down barriers. Clara currently lives, works and studies in Huntington Beach, California.
