ROBYN GIBSON B.F.A M.F.A Gibson's early works were influenced by the space, colour and confusion of the Australian outback where the artist resided in the eighties and nineties. The contemporary strangeness and diversity of a number of Australian painters she developed an affinity with included Charles Blackman, Sydney Nolan and Joy Hester to name a few. Colour and spacial investigations have lived on; influencing recent works. Gibson is an exploratory painter and assemblage artist who's professional career spans over 30 years exhibiting and participating in art projects in both New Zealand and Australia.
