Contact us.Hello, my name is Nicole and I am a young artist living in the Seattle (USA) area. I am a mother and the creator of Fluid Lion Studio.
What brought me to painting was my desire to express my feelings of grief and loss. My brother/soul mate/best friend traumatically and tragically passed away in October 2019 and I was emotionally destroyed. Covid-19 and the pandemic happened shortly after and my world was once again, turning upside down with very little relief and little hope of a sense of "normalcy". I one day picked up some paint and a couple of canvases and began exploring fluid painting. I can still remember the first one I did, I had my music going and as I would began just mixing the paint alone, the sense of a single ounce of peace filled my heart again. So, I kept at it, I kept teaching myself and learning new techniques. I studied. I watched and listened, silently and relentlessly. I kept every painting in a designated spot away from any elements that could negatively impact the paintings (I have too many pets LOL). It has been a while since then, and I can now proudly say that I have an art studio of my own. I use the finest/high end manufacturers of paints, canvases and resin in the industry today. I can honestly say that I put my heart and soul into every peace that I create, simply in hopes that they will each one day give someone happiness, peace, hope and love.
The materials my artwork consists of are premium cotton stretched canvases. The acrylics paints that I use are Arteza, Liquitex and Amerstdam, all of which are top of the line and are highly pigmented. I also complete all of my paintings with either a gloss varnish or Mas Epoxy Art Pro Resin, both giving the pieces a glossy finish, protection from dust and dirt along with UV protection. The resined pieces are the most popular as they come out with a hard-shell, glass like finish that can be cleaned with either a microfiber or silk cloth. **Please note, none of my artwork is rated for outdoor conditions. ALL of my artwork comes ready to be mounted with the hardware included.
Thank you for visiting my online shop and I truly hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
