That the blanket will absorb the worries. When asked for an explanation of my painting I am quite embarrassed. My paintings sometimes have a recurring motif of women falling into bed and covered with blankets. I try to convey the desire to disappear, to sink into a blanket and plunge into the private silence. I transfer the storm to the soothing night blankets.
