This flower series was created in unprecedented times for the Nostalgia Exhibition. It is the paradox of a flower that brings joy but can also represent mourning or loss. It was the perfect symbol for the experiences of 2020. In this artwork, Mary wanted to focus on the beauty of the moment. Titled: 'Bloom', this mixed media piece is a combination of acrylic paint and colored yarn in a modern white glass frame.
