ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this piece during quarantine, away from most of my painting materials. As such, I had to make the most of what I had at my disposal: some gouache, paper, ink, and acrylic magenta. Looking for some beauty during the first wave of coronavirus, I found myself drawn to these flowers, combining painting and drawing in a sparing style inspired by Japanese watercolors.
