In my artistic practice, I explore the duality of the spiritual and the material, translating invisible experiences into visual form. Through abstraction and a range of media, I express inner states, energies, and subtle processes. I see myself not as someone who invents meaning, but as someone who uncovers it. The artwork often reveals new layers of meaning long before I fully understand them, and my role is simply to give those meanings a visible form.
Nature is at the heart of my work. It is both my inspiration and my teacher, revealing rhythms, patterns, and quiet transformations that often go unnoticed. My artworks invite viewers to reconnect with the natural world as a source of balance, grounding, and renewal. In a fast-paced, technology-driven world, I seek to create spaces for stillness, reflection, and inner harmony.
My process is intuitive, material-led, and exploratory. The choice of techniques, textures, and materials is essential to each work, as every medium actively shapes the final outcome. Through experimentation, close engagement with materials, and openness to chance, new forms and layers of meaning gradually emerge. Inspiration often arises from natural phenomena such as light reflecting on water, the textures of the earth, and the slow movement of clouds.
Trained as a shipbuilding engineer, I develop my artistic practice alongside my professional work. This background informs my approach, where analytical thinking and intuitive expression coexist, creating a dialogue between structure and spontaneity. I work in my studio at Turku Art House, a space dedicated to experimentation, material awareness, and the continuous evolution of my visual language.
My works are held in private collections across Europe, Russia, and the United States.
