ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this oil painting “Blue Eden” after traveling to Venice where I was a part of an International art project “Passagio in Laguna”. I love Italy a lot and especially Venice. Many Old Masters came from Venetian School of painting, like Titian whom I admire. When having my art exhibitions in Venice or doing my plein-airs, I always get inspired and find new subject for my oil paintings. For me, Venice is also a place of romance. You always see a lot of happy couples in gondolas cruising Venetian canals. In my oil painting “Eden”, I explore the love, Eva and Adam theme, female and male energy that try to merge in one whole. The painting is multilayered with loaded brushstrokes of oil paint which creates an illusion of Italian fresco. The painting is ready to be hung on the wall. "Blue Eden", oil on linen, 100 x 100 cm
