This large acrylic painting depicts the changing tides I witness each day in front of our home near Budd Bay, WA. The ever-changing light conditions, hues of blue and green, and the beautiful outline of the Olympic mountains all combine to engage the senses in an extremely romantic setting.

Northwest painter primarily working in acrylics on canvas as well as collage (mixed media/Japanese & exotic papers). BA and Masters in painting from Western WA University, Bellingham, WA. Currently I enjoy a professional studio situated in a private garden setting in Olympia, WA. My work is completed in the Abstract Expressionist genre, with autobiographical themes and nature as a major influence on my work. Of note is the fact that having taught art at Aberdeen High School, I had Kurt Cobain as one of my students. He was gifted as a visual artist as well as a singer/songwriter. It was my honor to be an administrator for an arts scholarship that followed his untimely death in 1994. Current work by Robert Hunter can be viewed on artspan as well as at majestic . Recently my digital design "Night Life" was selected by the city of Olympia to appear as public art downtown.
