Modern. Industrial. Urban. Soothing neutral colors of blue and charcoal grey were painted on this oversized canvas in several layers of thin washes. This technique results in both a cool, calm effect as well as a graffiti edge. The extra large canvas extends to total dimensions of 60in by 108in (152.4cm by 274.3cm) and is painted from edge to edge. Due to size, the work ships unframed and rolled in a tube. The artist has allowed for -- at least -- 3.5 inches (8.9cm) all the way around for a framer to easily wrap over stretcher bars. This gives you a finished dimension of 53in by 101in. Because the work is non-representational, to conform to your space, your framer can also trim the work by additional inches without losing the feel of the abstraction. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to Erin at ErinMatlock@gmail.com.

Arizona visual artist, Erin Matlock, is a global mental health activist and published poet who challenges the stigma of suicide through public accounts of survival and recovery. She is an international TEDx speaker currently exploring the intersection of sculpture and painting. Fusing bold colors with sculptural text that rises beyond the canvas, Matlock triggers an emotional response—drawing viewers in to explore verse. Her works are studies on self worth, acceptance and individuality. Breaking the order of color and placing language at the center pointe, her paintings blend acrylics, recycled glass, crushed crystal, distressed texture and intricately mixed gel mediums. Erin's works are in private and public healthcare collections in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and France.
