ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This scene was painted enplein air in the picturesque village of Wied iz-Zurrieq. This place is a touristic one as a lot of tourists visit to enjoy the idyllic beauty of the sea and rocks as well as take a trip on the boats to the famous Blue Grotto caves. This is the typical scene one can find when visiting Wied z-Zurrieq. I was really inspired by the beauty of the sea and the effect of the sun shining on it and on the rocks. A skipper was waiting in a boat for anyone who would gladly come and go on a boat trip. This painting was done in the alla prima technique on site, with some finishing touches in the studio.

Born on the 31st August, 1981 and is from Qormi, Malta. Art is her passion! She is fascinated by colours and the harmony they bring into a composition. Oil is her favourite medium, however she loves painting with acrylic, watercolours and also with soft pastels. She derives inspiration mostly from nature. Whilst painting in her studio she prefers to work with some inspiring musical pieces by various artists namely Ludovico Einaudi which is her favourite, but also Andrea Vanzo and Hans Zimmer. This creates the perfect mood as she shuts off from the outer world and immerses herself into the magical world of art.
