A. Sathya (B.1987) from Auroville, Tamilnadu, India. Dear all, This is Sathya self-taught freelance artist from Auroville. I was born and got my primary education in a village called Annainagar, which is located near Auroville. From the age of twelve I have dreamed as a painter, and since then I have always been passionate about painting. Since my early years I have continuously pursued art as my way of expressing my instincts. I have been living in Auroville for the past ten years. Auroville is an international township also known as a city of dawn where The purpose of the community is to realise human Unity. I am fortunate to stay in this environment and learn about various dimensions of life which includes permaculture farming and forestry practiced over ten years in different places. This experience stimulates in me a deep observation of the surrounding nature, and it reveals itself in my art. I feel that nature taught me constantly the truth of our life process. I let myself flow in it; the momentum of the mood, light and shadow, and the liveliness of everything that is then defined in my painting. To begin painting I wander out with my art materials to the spot which strikes me deeply. I love to sense the present atmosphere and respond to it. This action brings joy and transcendence into my life. My style of art is called impressionism of evolving phenomena. I use Oil, Watercolour, and Acrylics as my primary mediums and also try to explore other mediums as much as possible. I have participated in many group shows, solo shows, and art camps. This primarily happened in Auroville and Pondicherry. I also participated in an art residency program at Space118 in Mumbai. I am eagerly participating in different activities to experience the depth of art and enlarge my perspective. As far as my life goes on I can only hope to keep painting, and happy to share with you all through my exhibitions and social media. I love living my life as Painter..
