Breath of Fresh Water Painting

This painting is framed and is wired for hanging. The dimensions listed on this site are for the image within the frame. The dimensions do not take into account the size of the actual frame. The actual dimensions of the frame are 27 x 33 x 2 inches. This painting to me symbolizes a soul mate connection, because each of the fish found their other half. There are also 2 fish that haven’t found each other yet, but will surely soon find each other. That is why I used one of the 72 names of God, which is Shin Alef Hei, for attracting “the one”. In total, there are 10 fish, which represent the 10 dimensions (sefirot) of our universe, which this concept is discussed at length in Kabbalah, and which is confirmed by science in the Superstring Theory of modern day physics. Kabbalistically, water is associated with the code names of “mercy” and “kindness”. Fish are very special creatures because it is said in Kabbalistic literature that souls of righteous people, who passed away with only a bit more correction to do, are found in fish. And there is actually a possibility of the soul of the righteous person to be elevated on Friday night during a special meal which includes liquor; once elevated, the righteous soul can thereby be of assistance to the person who took part in this meal. Oil on canvas has always been my chosen medium, since I was inspired by my master art teacher Monique Baudaux to follow this artistic path since the 1990s. My style is impressionist. Many have stated that my paintings remind them of a combination of Monet and Renoir. This is no coincidence, since I highly admire their work and style.
