About The Artwork
I love using the impasto technique to create an almost sculptural quality in my paintings. "Bridge" evolved from my "Sugar Mountain Series" where I typically paint squares. This time, I elongated the strokes and it created a very heavy texture and was inspired by industrial hues like bronze, gold and silver. I also made this piece so it can hang vertically or horizontally. I have only made one painting in this particular method so it is very unique.
