About The Artwork
This diptych is inspired by the symbolic ouroboros and geometric patterns found on snake skin. It speaks to the idea of a broken infinity or an interruption from the endless cycle of birth and death.The painting is split between two panels which were originally black cabinets and could easily be reconstructed as cabinets. It's primal colors and flatted forms are not devoid of detail but do convey the naivety of outsider art.
