This is a a mixed-media art work that combines photographic print transfer, oil and watercolour paint. It depicts a montage of shadows, reflections and remnants of foliage that one may find in the corners and surfaces of a bus-stop. I was aiming to give a feeling of the momentary and our ever-changing experience in our everyday lives.

I am a London based artist, originally from New Zealand. My practice combines photography, digital art, collage, painting and writing. I am interested in ideas surrounding the fragment such as absence, juxtaposition, interconnectedness and transformation. I see patterns and rhythms in the processes that I use, the marks that I make and the words that I carve out and assemble. My subject matter can vary, but tends to focus on the ordinary, the overlooked and the mundane. The trappings of everyday, fleeting, ephemeral, seen out of the corner of one’s eye, texture, beauty and ugliness packed together in a kind of natural collage. I try to convey a sense of flux, of a perpetual ebb and flow between the abstract and the figurative, reality and the imagination to create numerous points of departure.
