Butterfly Painting

This large original butterfly painting is a mixed medium piece of wall art. It is painted with high quality acrylic paints and has been hand embellished with inks and chalk pastels, resulting in a beautifully textured painting. This butterfly canvas consists of a vibrant colour palette of vivid blues, black, silver and white, which are complimented by the rich gold background. Butterflies are one of the few representational subject matters that I am ever drawn to paint. I am fascinated by the power such a delicate creature can embody aesthetically.
