About The Artwork
"Calidum Mantilibus" is latin an means "warm towels". Crying Angels come out of the ornamental frame, holding towels in their hands. The male person in the sea seems to be drowning. He starts a last attempt to shout for help while raising his arm but the towels won't help. The Linolcut on Paper - print is limited on 25. Each piece is individually painted with acrylics, watercolour and ink. The title is latin and says "warm towels". The work is inspired by an old book painting from the middle ages and new interpreted to criticise society.
