Monique Lazard was born and raised in San Francisco now living in Miami, Florida. Lazard began drawing and painting as a child with watercolor and India ink renderings then moved on to explore pastels and oil. Lazard began her career in the fashion industry as a fashion illustrator, art director, graphic designer and instructor at Parsons in NYC before becoming a professional fine artist.
Lazard is admired for her impressionistic approach to color, light and lyrical brushwork. Subject matter include rural and urban landscapes from places Lazard has lived and visited, still life and figurative art.
