About The Artwork

Please note that Candyland is in an exhibition until mid-June. The work remains available for sale during this time but cannot be released until then. Candyland is a vibrant hot pink paint collage supplemented with black, white, red, and yellow. Circles slice through the linear pattern which is edged in raised paint strips. A psychedelic and unusual painting. This work has two sets of D rings and wire for your choice of vertical or horizontal hanging (see in situ images). The pattern continues around all sides, therefore, there is no need to frame. On the back, you will find my signature, initials, title, and year. It is registered on the NRAA (National Registry for Australian artists). The work comes with details of the registration and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Artist Statement “When the paint is dry my work is just beginning”. The thought that paint could be capable of independence from the canvas has been the driving force behind Julee’s art practice. It led to her process of creating paintings on plastic waiting for the paint to dry before she removes it. The unsupported material has an inherent flexibility that allows Julee to investigate her interest in textile, collage, and sculptural techniques. Through cutting, layering, moulding, weaving, and gluing, each creation is the result of many hours of meticulous and detailed work. An artist since childhood, Julee holds a BFA (Sculpture and Painting) from Curtin University, Perth. She is also the author of the book Sculptural Secrets for Mosaic (Schiffer Publishing Ltd, USA). Her works can be found in collections, both public and private, worldwide.
