ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This small, round, cute little songbird is the state bird of South Carolina. These birds are rarely stationary, scooting up and down tree trunks in search of insects and fruits. The Wren often cocks its tail upward while foraging and holds it down when singing. In my imagination, this wren is contemplating whether to catch the ladybug or not. The tail is up, so most probably the ladybug is lunch. This is an original watercolor painting on Arches 140 lb. cold press paper. It comes signed on the front bottom corner. Unframed painting size: 8 x 10 in.
