This painting is a very loosely interpreted work from a photo I recently took from an airplane window. 'Loosely', as there was no red in the sky at all (not untypical for The Cascades). The mountain in the photo is Mt. Adams, though I wasn't necessarily trying to capture it too accurately, either. I think most who have been in the area would readily recognize it as a Cascade mountain.
