About The Artwork

The artwork was created for a thematic event, a collaboration between Autistic Art and YoungArt, inspired by the works of Gábor Zoltán, an autistic artist. I tried to balance the painting as if we had personally created it together with him. I brought certain elements, forms, gestures from my existing art, but I left them to further develop under the influence of my fellow artist. The main subject of the painting is further complemented with smaller drawings. On the one hand, they glorify the visual language of Gábor Zoltán - along with the value he created, while on the other hand, they make the connection between our creations more obvious. The “Reloaded” tag was added in hindsight as after a certain time and exhibition, the artists decided to repaint the original version, keeping the vibes and main elements but enriching it with extra textures and colors.

szilardjuhasz.com https://www.instagram.com/juhaszil/ I was born in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania in 1989. After graduating university in Cluj Napoca, in 2013 I moved to Budapest, Hungary where my artistic journey truly started to evolve in the form of digital painting and fine arts. These past years encompass mainly two intertwining artistic periods / ways of creating: One is based on free association, tapping into the subconscious creating without intention, then inviting the conscious mind to decipher shapes, like in a Rorschach-test, then reinforcing these shapes for others to see the way I do. Often I start these works using charcoal which ensures an uninterrupted flow, a crucial element of my practice. To some extent this way I can explore the concept of taking out the mind from the equation allowing the subconsciousness to surface and manifest on the canvas for a more intuitive and sincere expression. At this point I am looking for a visual output that surprises me and seems like something of its own accord, where I was only an instrument in the creative process of summoning the non-existent. This is followed by a number of oil paint layers executed in various techniques meant to reinforce the bare elements already laid on the canvas and also to enrich it with further narratives for the viewer, inviting them to freely interpret the result. Another way I create is when the painting starts out with a more clear intention of portraying a certain idea. In this case, I create preliminary sketches and studies, color swatches and I also often reuse visual elements and style marks discovered during the “Rorschach sessions”. Both versions are executed in multiple mediums, including digital painting, but in the past few years I favored working with oil paints on stretched canvas for its tangibility and classy vibe. My works are part of private collections and have been exhibited in the US, Europe and currently being on display in the 798 Art Zone, in Beijing, China
