Born in Alexandria in 1989 where he is currently based, Hakeem graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Printmaking department, at Alexandria University in 2012. His work is inspired by his national and international environment and the streets surrounding him as he translates a variety of influences onto his canvas. Some ideas stem from fantasy others from reality with borrowed elements from myths and legends or even history through inherited culture or religious interpretations. Strands of political, social, economic, scientific and historical elements are clearly sewn through his artworks as he portrays personal or societal understandings and perspectives. He don't prefer art projects that are just very personal but I like those who serve the surroundings of the executing artist locally and internationally because change and gradually into a better, more complex, or more advanced state will not happened if you just sink in yourself. The top view of the cities reflects a do-not approach area. Whereas it is built as a kind of sarcasm from all the types of chaos in our community all over the world. However, with all that misery in the city it is still coping and living. Maybe without belonging to it. As an artist you should aware of the past, present, future, and how you can present your artwork visually and conceptually parallel. This could be a very little change or romantic but we should always work on this for a better future for every one everywhere individually and through associations. He constantly searches for channels and avenues of expression that are appropriate, for both himself and current times. He believes that when it comes to honest art, ideas may be repeated but embodied and expressed in a unique and different fashion. He has participated in several group and solo exhibitions such as The Biennale of the Sixth Artist Book, Bibliotheca Alexandrina – Egypt (2014), Arabic Revolutions Festival, Lyon – France (2014), Egyptian Short Film Festival, Torino – Italy (2015), A photo around the World, Palermo – Italy (2017), Al-Kasaby Fine Arts Institution, Jeddah – KSA (2015), Context Art Fair, New York – USA (2016), Contest Art Fair, Miami – USA (2016 & 2017), 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair 2020 "Marrakech", AKKA African Art Fair “Paris"2021 “From H to G”, Scope Miami Art Fair “ Honored List “ Florida 2022, and more.
