Charles Leclerc winning 2019 Italian GP Painting

My acrylic painting is inspired by Charles Leclerc’s win at the 2019 Italian Grand Prix in his Ferrari against Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes. It was the second win of Charles following his maiden race win during the previous race weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix 2019. The Belgian GP celebration was sadly overshadowed by the loss of Charles’s good friend and racing driver Anthoine Hubert. The Italian GP is a very important race weekend for every Ferrari driver. They have the pressure of the local crowd and the local media is all over them. The Tifosi Ferrari, which refers to the supporters of the Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One, are very passionate about the sport and the podium celebration is very special because they are raised above the crowd. Charles started the race on pole position and had to defend his position from both Mercedes drivers. My artwork captures an important moment where Charles fights of the six-time world champion Lewis Hamilton during the race. It was Ferrari’s first home win since 2010. Charles described the day as the best day of this life.
